WMS Families,

I am happy to share that the next principal of Westside Middle School will be Ms. Julia Hodges, starting with the 2026-2027 school year.

Ms. Hodges is no stranger to the Husky family. She started her career in education here at WMS as a teacher. She then taught at Haymon-Morris Middle School before moving to the leadership roles at Auburn Elementary and Austin Road Elementary, where she is currently.

I personally know Ms. Hodges to be a caring and supportive principal to students. She has an exceptional ability to connect with people and believes in fostering an environment where students build confidence, feel seen, and are inspired to learn.

She will continue in her role at ARES for the remainder of the school year and is eager to get to know those of you she may not already know from her years at AES and ARES.
